8. Paid Developer API plans

8.1. This section applies only to the paid plans of our Developer API. The free Explorer plan involves no payment.

8.2. Each plan is a subscription with a fixed monthly or annual price and fixed daily request limits and request-rate limits, as shown on the billing page at the time of purchase. Once a limit is reached, further requests are refused until the next day; there is no automatic extra charge for excess usage.

8.3. Payments are processed by Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe, through Link, is the merchant of record: it collects the payment, determines and charges any applicable VAT or sales tax, and issues the invoice. Statements show LINK.COM* rather than our name, and subscriptions can also be managed and cancelled at link.com.

8.4. A subscription renews automatically for further periods until it is cancelled. You can cancel at any time on the billing page or at link.com; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep your plan and its limits until then.

8.5. If a payment fails, we do not cut off access immediately: the account enters a grace period of 14 days, we notify you by e-mail before it expires, and only then does the account return to the free Explorer plan.

8.6. We may change prices or plan limits with at least 30 days’ notice by e-mail. Changes apply from your next renewal; if you do not accept them, cancel before that date.

8.7. We may suspend or terminate paid access for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, including abuse of the API, sharing of API keys, or attempts to circumvent limits. Where we terminate for breach, section 9 does not entitle you to a refund.

9. Refunds and the right of withdrawal

9.1. If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you have 14 days to withdraw from a subscription without giving a reason.

9.2. Because access begins as soon as you subscribe, we ask you at checkout to confirm that you request the service to start immediately and that you accept that, if you withdraw afterwards, you must pay for the part already supplied. In that case we refund the price minus a proportionate amount for the days you had access.

9.3. Purchases made as a business — including any purchase where a VAT identification number was entered at checkout — carry no statutory right of withdrawal.

9.4. A full refund ends the subscription immediately and returns the account to the free Explorer plan; a partial refund does not change the plan. Cancelling is not the same as refunding: it keeps access until the end of the paid period.

9.5. When you start a cancellation or a refund request we may offer a discount to stay (currently 50% off the next two invoices, once per account, granted only if you tell us why you were leaving). Accepting is optional and does not affect your statutory rights or the running of the 14-day period.

9.6. Full details, the calculation and how to submit a request are in our Refund Policy.
