Will I make my flight?

We're working on a feature that will combine the live border queue, travel time to the airport, and your flight status — to show whether you'll make it in time. For now, check the queue at the checkpoint you need separately on our site.

Airlines — departure punctuality

How many departures actually leave on time — measured by us.

Showing the 8 airlines with the most departures we have recorded from the 11 airports we monitor, ranked by the share that left on time (within 15 minutes).

departures measured

Of the 23284 departures we recorded at 11 airports, 72% left on time (within 15 min). The most punctual carriers are Enter Air (96% on time, on average 2 min ahead of schedule) and Austrian Airlines (88%). The lowest score belongs to the busiest carrier in the sample, LOT Polish Airlines (5055 departures): 56% on time, average delay 19 min.

Flying out through a land border? The average departure delay is 13 min — the real risk is not the flight but the border queue and the drive to the airport. Plan a total buffer of at least 4–5 hours before check-in and verify the queue at your crossing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Ukrainian airports operating right now?
No. Since 24 February 2022, Ukraine's airspace has been closed to civil aviation because of the full-scale war. All airports, including Boryspil, Zhuliany, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro and Kharkiv, are not accepting or dispatching flights.
How can Ukrainians reach airports abroad?
The most common option is to travel by car, bus or train to the nearest operating airport in a neighboring country (for example, Rzeszów or Chișinău), crossing the border at one of the checkpoints. It's worth checking the border queue in advance before you travel.
Which airport is closest to the western border?
For western Ukraine, the nearest operating airports are Rzeszów-Jasionka (RZE) in Poland and Lublin, both roughly 1.5–3 hours' drive from Lviv via checkpoints on the Polish border.
Is there a live departures and arrivals board?
We're adding live boards for airports in Poland, Moldova and Bulgaria in stages — the first versions will appear soon. Ukrainian airports are currently shown only with a "closed" status, without a board.
