Drivers who use Latvia's electronic border queue system (ERRS) will get noticeably more help from 2 March 2026, when the service's customer support centre switches to extended opening hours, including at weekends.
New customer support hours:
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 to 18:00
- Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 to 16:00
- Latvian public holidays: closed
🇱🇻 Latvia:
- Operator: state company Autotransporta direkcija, which runs the ERRS platform
- Information line: +371 28775333
- E-mail: border@atd.lv
- Messages sent outside working hours are answered on the next working day
What this means in practice
Until now, a booking problem that appeared late in the evening or over a weekend often had to wait until Monday. From March, a Saturday or Sunday call can resolve a wrong slot, a failed payment or a registration error before you set off for the crossing point.
Still plan your contact sensibly: if your slot falls early in the morning, sort out any issue the day before rather than at 06:00, when the line is not staffed. Keep your registration number and vehicle details ready so the operator can find your booking quickly.
The queue rules themselves are unchanged. If you have not registered recently, review the tightened rules for booking an electronic queue slot in Latvia before you travel, because resold or fraudulent bookings are cancelled.
