Bulgaria Border Crossing Points

Bulgaria is an EU member and is preparing for full Schengen membership. When crossing the border, it is important to have all necessary documents.

Entry Requirements to Bulgaria

• Valid passport (issued within the last 10 years)
• Passport must be valid for at least 3 months after your planned departure date
• Proof of accommodation (hotel booking, address confirmation)
• Proof of travel insurance
• Return or onward ticket
• Proof of sufficient funds for your stay

Travel Stamps

Until the EES system is fully rolled out, ensure you get entry and exit stamps. Border guards will check these stamps to verify you haven't exceeded the 90-day visa-free limit.

Motorway Vignette
