We measured 6,139 departures from 11 airports between 30.09 and 07.10.2026. Of these, 73% left on time (15 minutes or less) and 5.4% left more than an hour late. Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) had the worst average departure delay at 21.9 min, and the single worst delay of the week was 5 h 38 min. These figures come only from nakordoni.eu's own tracking of departure boards at the 11 airports listed below. They cover only the last 7 days and only departure delay. They are not network-wide airline statistics. For flight delays today, the live departure boards in the flights section refresh every few minutes.
Airport ranking: where departures ran latest
Warsaw Chopin was the clear outlier. Its average delay of 21.9 min was 7.5 minutes higher than second-placed Burgas Airport (BOJ), and only 55% of its departures left on time.

The busiest hub ran latest; regional Polish airports ran earliest
Warsaw Chopin handled 1,904 of the measured departures and posted the weakest result on every averaged measure except the share over an hour late. Chişinău had the highest share of departures over 60 minutes late, at 7.6%, despite a moderate 9.1 min average. Five Polish regional airports, from Wrocław to Gdańsk, clustered between 4.5 and 6.2 min. The two Warsaw airports sit at opposite ends of the table: Chopin Airport averaged 21.9 min, while Modlin averaged 5.3 min. In south-east Poland, Jasionka flights left on time 82% of the time. Travellers who reach Rzeszów or Kraków after a land border crossing can check the live border queues before choosing a departure time.

Three of the five were Wizz Air flights, and two of those left from Warsaw Chopin on consecutive days. The other two departed from Bulgarian airports. One of these was the Varna departure, so anyone searching for Varna flights should check the live board even though the airport's weekly average was low.

LOT Polish Airlines had the lowest on-time share at 60%. Wizz Air left on time more often (72%) but had the highest average delay, 18 min, and the most departures over an hour late, 113. Buzz combined an 86% on-time share with a 2.9 min average across 1,001 departures, though 25 of its flights still left more than an hour late. Enter Air was the most punctual, leaving on average 1.5 minutes early. These results describe departures from the 11 monitored airports only and do not reflect each carrier's whole network; the full figures are on the airline punctuality page.
Only carriers with at least 61 measured departures this week are ranked. Smaller samples are too thin to support a fair figure. Our records hold how late a flight left, not why it left late.
How the week trended
Thursday 01.10 had the lowest on-time share, 68%, and Monday 05.10 had the highest average delay, 14.6 min. From Thursday to Monday, averages stayed between 13.3 and 14.6 min. Tuesday 06.10 was the best full day, with 81% on time and a 6.5 min average. Wednesday 30.09 and Wednesday 07.10 are partial days in this rolling window, so their lower counts do not indicate a trend.

- Check the live board for your flight before you leave for the airport. The weekly figures are a closed window.
- When flying from Warsaw Chopin or another airport near the top of the table, choose a longer connection. A departure delay can shrink in the air, but a short transfer is the real risk.
