Major maintenance works are scheduled on the A1 highway in the Netherlands between Barneveld and Apeldoorn. Rijkswaterstaat will replace asphalt, apply new road markings, and service drainage systems and guardrails.
Schedule of Lane Restrictions:
Traffic will run on narrowed lanes with a mandatory speed limit of 70 km/h throughout all construction stages. Significant delays are expected during peak hours.
- Towards Amersfoort (Apeldoorn-Zuid to Kootwijk): Aug 18 (05:00) – Sep 14 (20:00).
- Towards Apeldoorn (Kootwijk to Apeldoorn-Zuid): Aug 20 (05:00) – Sep 16 (20:00).
- Towards Amersfoort (Stroe to Voorthuizen): Sep 15 (05:00) – Nov 30 (20:00).
- Towards Apeldoorn (Voorthuizen to Stroe): Sep 18 (05:00) – Dec 3 (20:00).
Night Closures and Advisory:
Full night-time closures will occur periodically alongside signed diversions. International carriers and cross-border drivers traversing North-Western Europe should also check planned German autobahn HGV restrictions when setting up long-haul routes.
