Netherlands: Major weekend roadworks on A2, A10, A12 & A27

Dutch road authority Rijkswaterstaat has announced major weekend roadworks across essential highway corridors in the Netherlands. Heavy traffic delays are expected, and international drivers are strongly advised to check detour routes before setting off.

Closures and Alternative Detours:
🇳🇱 Netherlands:
  • A2 (towards Eindhoven): Closed between Het Vonderen junction and Nederweert from Friday 28 August 20:00 until Monday 31 August 05:00. Traffic is rerouted via A73 and A67.
  • A10 (Coentunnel towards A10 Noord): Connecting ramp from Coentunnel to A10 Noord and entry S118 are closed from Friday 22:00 to Monday 05:00. Detour via A8 with a U-turn at exit 3.
  • A12 (towards Arnhem): Closed between Lunetten junction and Veenendaal-West from Friday 21:00 to Monday 05:00. Diversion via A27, A28, A1, A30 or A27, A2, A15, A50.
  • A27 (towards Almere): Closed between Huizen and Zeewolde from Friday 20:00 to Monday 05:00. Traffic diverted from Eemnes junction via A1 and A6.
  • A59 (both directions): Closed between Hooipolder junction and Waalwijk from Friday 21:00 to Monday 05:00. Rerouted via A27, A58, N65/A65 and N260/N261.
  • N3 (Papendrechtsebrug Bridge): Closed in both directions between Papendrecht and Dordrecht until April 21, 2027 for bridge flap replacement. Detour via A15 and A16.

Long-distance hauliers and cross-border drivers should also consult neighboring German autobahn roadworks updates to optimize transit timing.
