The Head of the 25th Border Guard Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine signed order No. 8-OD dated May 6, 2026. The document officially regulates the regime and boundaries of border control zones at the "Lisne – Săiți" international automobile checkpoint, located on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border section in the Odesa region.
Essence of the Regime and Control Zone Boundaries
The establishment of the border control regime introduces a clear procedure for the presence of citizens and vehicles on the territory of the checkpoint.
- Border Control Regime: Defines movement rules: permitted routes, vehicle stopping places, and territories where document checks and vehicle inspections are directly carried out.
- Border Control Zones: Outline the boundaries of the territory within which border guards have the authority to stop vehicles, check documents, and restrict the movement of unauthorized persons.

Ukrainian Side:
- Route Adherence: Move strictly along designated traffic lanes. Leaving the vehicle outside designated areas is prohibited.
- Document Preparation: Passport documents of all passengers and the vehicle registration certificate should be prepared in advance—before entering the control zone.
- Filming Regulations: Refrain from photo and video recording in the control zone without prior coordination with border guards.
Adjacent Side (Moldova):
- Clearance from the Moldovan side (the Săiți checkpoint) is carried out according to their own schedule and procedures, so the total crossing time depends on the work of both border agencies.
- During periods of increased passenger traffic (weekends and holidays), it is recommended to allow extra time for formalities.
- To avoid queues, check the current congestion status of checkpoints on the official resources of the SBGSU before starting your trip.
