Orlivka — Isaccea: a Danube ferry crossing
Orlivka — Isaccea is the only car-and-ferry crossing on the Danube between Ukraine and Romania. It links Orlivka on the Ukrainian bank with Isaccea on the Romanian side and serves cars, buses, trucks, pedestrians and cyclists. The point operates around the clock with a night break from 00:00 to 05:00.
The crossing itself is a ferry trip of about 15–20 minutes. A ferry ticket is mandatory and is bought at the terminal; the sailing schedule depends on the season and on weather conditions on the river.

Queues and waiting times
Waiting times for cars range from about 5 to 45 minutes, rising to roughly 1.5 hours at peak depending on the ferry interval; trucks are processed through an electronic queue. Because traffic is tied to the ferry schedule and river conditions, the waiting picture here is specific to this crossing. Live queue length and the current state of the point are available on Nakordoni.eu — see the detailed pages at /en/id/id_230 and /en/id/id_436, and historical patterns for the route at /en/stat/1/5.
Documents and ferry schedule
Cars and buses: a biometric passport, vehicle insurance (Green Card), the vehicle registration document, a driving licence and a ferry ticket bought at the terminal.
Trucks: registration in the electronic queue, international transport documents, insurance and a ferry ticket for heavy vehicles.
During the day two ferries run with departures every 30–40 minutes; at night a single ferry sails hourly. Cars should arrive at least one hour before departure, and buses or heavy vehicles about 1.5 hours ahead. The EES biometric system and ETIAS travel authorisation for the Schengen area are being introduced on a phased timetable.
