The Vynohradivka border crossing point on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border in the Odesa region has resumed processing travellers and vehicles. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine announced the restart on 26 August 2026.
What has changed:
Clearance at this crossing is running in the normal mode again. The temporary restrictions that had suspended traffic have been lifted, so routes through southern Odesa region are once more usable for trip planning.
🇺🇦 Ukraine:
- Passenger and vehicle traffic restored as of 26 August 2026
- Standard passport and customs control applies
- Short delays are possible during the first days after the restart
🇲🇩 Moldova:
- Processing on the Moldovan side runs in parallel with the Ukrainian one
- Carry your passport, vehicle registration documents and Green Card insurance
Practical advice:
Check the live load at the crossing before you set off, and add a buffer for the drive: approach roads in this area are periodically under repair, as covered in our report on traffic restrictions on the Odesa-Reni highway. If the queue builds up, neighbouring crossings to Moldova remain an alternative.
Early morning departures usually mean shorter waits than evenings and weekends, when local and transit traffic peaks.
