Reversible traffic on the M-15 Odesa — Reni highway: when and where to expect complications

State Agency for Restoration

Temporary complications await drivers on the transit highway M-15 Odesa — Reni (towards Bucharest): planned repair works for the operational maintenance of the road surface have begun on two sections of the route. This was reported by the Service for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure in Odesa Oblast.

Work schedule and restriction areas:
  • May 19–20, 2026 — section in the area of Palanka village. Reversible traffic is already in effect.
  • May 21–22, 2026 — section within Mayaky village. Traffic will be organized in one lane alternately.

The purpose of the works is to improve the road surface condition on a strategically important corridor, which residents of the region and transit travelers use to reach the Mayaky — Udobne checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border and further to the Reni checkpoint towards Romania.

What drivers should consider:
  • Appropriate road signs and warning shields have been installed on both sections.
  • During peak hours, traffic jams are possible before the narrowing — allow extra time for your route.
  • If you are going to the border, check the current situation at Mayaky — Udobne and Reni before departure.

Road services promise to inform additionally about the completion of repair works.
