Dniester Bridge Repair to Restrict Traffic on Odesa – Reni Highway from June 10

State Agency for Restoration

From 7:00 on June 10, repair work will begin in the Odesa region on the bridge over the Dniester River, located on the M-15 Odesa – Reni highway near Mayaky village. During the work, traffic on this section will be organized in a reversible mode — vehicles will be allowed through one lane alternately.

The bridge to be repaired is located on the 41st kilometer of the highway. During the work, traffic complications and congestion are possible, especially during peak hours. According to preliminary information, the work will last until June 14 inclusively. This was reported by the police with reference to the Service for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure in the Odesa region.

Why this is important for those heading to the border

The Odesa – Reni highway is one of the key transport arteries of the southern region and the main access road to checkpoints in the Moldovan and Romanian directions. Drivers use this road to reach the Reni crossing on the border with Moldova, as well as the Orlivka – Isaccea ferry crossing towards Romania. The closest crossing to the repair site is Mayaky – Udobne.

Drivers are urged to plan trips in advance, consider possible delays on the road, and choose alternative routes if possible. Before departing, it is worth checking the actual waiting time at these crossings — even minor restrictions in this direction can significantly affect the overall traffic flow.
