User Reviews — 3.0/5 (2 reviews)
The negative report describes a far harsher picture from 25 June 2026. That traveler waited at the border from 17:00 until 23:40 — roughly six hours and forty minutes — during which, according to the review, no buses were let through at all and only passenger cars were being processed. This points to a recurring pattern worth planning around: bus passengers appear to face substantially longer holds than car traffic during peak afternoon and evening hours, and a late-afternoon arrival can turn into a wait lasting well past midnight.
Conditions on site were the other major complaint. The reviewer described extreme heat with no shelter, toilets in a terrible state, and nowhere to buy drinking water. Practical advice for anyone crossing at Isaccea: aim for early morning if possible, avoid the 17:00–24:00 window especially when traveling by bus, and bring your own water, snacks, and sanitary supplies rather than counting on facilities at the crossing.

Reviews about the checkpoint Isaccea, Ferry Crossing: By car
