About the Mamalyha — Kriva crossing
Mamalyha — Kriva is an international road and bus crossing between Ukraine and Moldova, located in the Bukovyna region on the H-10 route (Chernivtsi–Mamalyha–Kriva). It operates around the clock and uses the European double-control model, which usually keeps processing quick.
The crossing lies about 60 km (~1 h 10 min) from Chernivtsi and roughly 120 km (~2 h) from Chișinău, handling well over 2,000 people and vehicles a day.
Permitted vehicle types
- Cars, minibuses and buses pass quickly.
- Trucks up to 7.5 t only; oversized and special vehicles require permits.
- Pedestrians and cyclists are allowed — one of the most convenient points for crossing on foot or by bike.
- An electronic queue for commercial transport has applied since 2025.

Cars and buses: biometric or visa passport, vehicle documents, insurance (PDF accepted since 2025) and medical insurance.
Trucks ≤7.5 t: e-Queue registration, waybill, invoice and vehicle registration.
EES & ETIAS: biometric entry/exit checks (EES) apply from October 2025, and the ETIAS travel authorisation is expected from late 2026.
