Krakivets — Korchova Border Crossing
Status: One of the largest and busiest road border crossings between Ukraine and Poland, modernised to speed up processing. It operates 24/7 without major restrictions and handles more than 12,000 vehicles and passengers daily.
Transport: Passenger cars, buses and trucks above 7.5 t GVW are processed here. Check the live queue: passenger cars or trucks. Pedestrian and cycle crossing is not permitted.
Basic Information
- Located on the M10 (E40) Lviv — Krakivets — Korczowa route, continuing to Rzeszów and Kraków via the A4 motorway.
- Distance from Lviv: 69 km (~1 h 5 min); from Przemyśl in Poland: 34 km (~40 min).
- Operating hours: 24/7.
- Permitted vehicles: passenger cars, buses, and freight vehicles over 7.5 t GVW.
- Foot passengers and cyclists: not permitted. The nearest pedestrian option is Shehyni–Medyka, about 45 km away.
Queues and Wait Times
Waiting times vary considerably: roughly 1.5 to 7 hours for cars, and up to 36 hours or more for trucks during peak periods. Documents and New Border Rules
Travellers crossing by car or bus generally need a valid travel document, vehicle registration, a driving licence and Green Card motor insurance (the PDF version has been accepted since 2025).
The EU Entry/Exit System (EES) records entries and exits of non-EU nationals, with roll-out from October 2025; the ETIAS travel authorisation for visa-free visitors is expected from late 2026.
