Oversized cargo transport in Romania: routes and driver advice

Romanian traffic authorities have announced the movement of five oversized transport convoys along major national roads and highways. Drivers operating in these areas should expect localized slowdowns and follow police instructions.

Affected Routes and Cargo Specifications:
🇷🇴 Romania:
  • DNCB – DN 4 – Oltenița (Călărași): Convoy measuring 6.05m in width, 7.04m in height, with a weight of 163 tonnes.
  • DN 67 – DN 6 – A6 – A1 – Timișoara: Heavy transport weighing 104 tonnes.
  • Agigea BCP – DN 39A – DN 39 – DN 38 – DN 3 – DN 2A – DN 22A – DN 22F – DN 22D – DN 22 – Văcăreni (Tulcea): Two transports with heights between 5.1–5.5m and weights from 88 to 104.5 tonnes.
  • Agigea BCP – DN 39A – DN 39 – A4 – DN 3 – DN 22 – DN 2A – DN 21 – Ialomița Wind Farm: Two transports up to 48m long, 5.2m high, and weighing 109–137 tonnes.

All convoys will be escorted by traffic police units. Before starting long-haul journeys across the region, verify border crossing conditions to optimize transit timing.
