Queues at the Bulgarian border: Kapitan Andreevo and Kalotina

Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA)

The Border Police of Bulgaria warns of increased traffic in two directions: on the border with Turkey — at Kapitan Andreevo BCP for cars exiting, and on the border with Serbia — at Kalotina BCP for entry. Data is current as of 6:00.

According to the General Directorate "Border Police", traffic at other checkpoints with neighboring countries is normal.

Bulgarian-Turkish direction

The heaviest load falls on the exit from Bulgaria to Turkey. The current dynamics of queues in this direction are shown on the Bulgaria – Turkey page, and hourly statistics of passage through Kalotina BCP are collected in the checkpoint statistics section.

Svishtov – Zimnicea ferry is not working

From 10:00 on July 21, the ferry service at the Svishtov – Zimnicea crossing is temporarily suspended due to low water levels in the Danube. The platform is located on Bulgarian territory. To cross the Romanian border, one has to use other Bulgaria – Romania checkpoints.

Restrictions by type of transport
  • Rudozem, Zlatograd, Makaza, and Ivaylovgrad — only cars and minibuses up to 3.5 tons.
  • Kulala, Ilinden, and Kapitan Petko Voyvoda — cars, buses, and trucks.

The list and statuses of the remaining checkpoints in the country — on the Bulgaria page.
