Direction of travel decides everything
Luxembourg is the only country in the region whose truck ban depends on where the vehicle is heading. The same loaded truck can legally drive on a Sunday toward Belgium but not toward France or Germany. Enforcement therefore focuses on transit status and direction: dispatchers should check both the Luxembourg lists and the destination country's own Sunday and holiday bans, since a truck released at 21:45 in Luxembourg still meets the German ban (until 22:00) or French ban on the other side of the border.
Parking ban during restricted hours
During ban periods, trucks subject to the restriction may not park on the public highway, including motorway rest areas. Plan to reach a private site or leave Luxembourg territory before the ban starts.
