Bus traffic through the Shehyni – Medyka checkpoint will not be stopped throughout the entire summer season. Poland agreed to postpone the suspension of bus registration for entry, which was supposed to start on June 15, 2026.

The day before, on June 10, the Polish side announced its intention to stop bus traffic in the direction of entry to Poland for one and a half years due to renovation work. Given the importance of this route for passenger transportation between the two countries, the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development promptly initiated consultations with the Polish side.

As a result of negotiations with the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland, an agreement was reached on bus registration for the summer season even during renovation work. This will ensure uninterrupted connection during the period of traditionally high passenger traffic. See the current waiting time and best hours for crossing in the Shehyni checkpoint statistics.

See schedules and routes of international flights in the bus carriers section. Further stages of reconstruction and possible changes in traffic organization will be announced additionally.
