The Odesa — Reni route will receive another important update. The Service for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure in Odesa Oblast has ordered the construction of a temporary quickly erected bridge over the Dniester in the area of Mayaky village — a few kilometers from the Mayaky — Udobne checkpoint on the border with Moldova.
Cost and Contractor:
Over 200 million UAH were allocated for the project from the state budget's reserve fund. The contract was signed with LLC "Kyiv Bridge Construction Company" without open bidding — the documents explain this by the urgent need to perform the work.
What the project includes:
- almost 988 tons of steel pipes for supporting structures;
- reinforced concrete span slabs;
- over 370 meters of metal barrier fencing;
- icebreakers for pier protection in winter.
The contractor must complete the construction by December 31, 2026.
This is the second large project in this direction in recent days: simultaneously on the Odesa — Reni route, a video control system with integration into eCherha will be installed near the Reni — Giurgiulești checkpoint.
