Croatia–Bosnia is an external EU/Schengen border. Many crossings reflect the historical border line: Stara Gradiška, Slavonski Brod, Metković, Klek–Neum, Imotski–Bijača. Bosnia is outside the EU. The Pelješac Bridge (opened 2022) lets Croatian traffic bypass the Neum corridor entirely, reducing some border crossings.
