On the coastal and border corridor roads towards Koper, Italy and Croatia, summer Saturdays carry a longer 06:00–16:00 ban. The summer season runs from the last weekend in June to the first weekend in September, in 2026 from 27 June to 6 September.

Summer tourist season ban

During the tourist season the year-round Sunday and holiday ban is joined by a Saturday ban. On the general network the Saturday window is 08:00–13:00. On the corridors towards the coast and the Italian and Croatian borders the Saturday ban is extended to 06:00–16:00, and Sundays and holidays keep the 08:00–22:00 window. Summer Saturday ban dates in 2026: 27 June; 4, 11, 18, 25 July; 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 August; 5 September.

Winter equipment for trucks

From 15 November to 15 March, goods vehicles over 3.5 t must meet winter-equipment requirements in Slovenia, including tyre and snow-chain obligations depending on axle and tyre configuration. This is a separate rule from the driving bans.
