Ukraine's electronic queue platform eCherha has rolled out several updates for bus operators running scheduled and charter international services. The changes aim to simplify registration, automate document checks and reduce errors when joining the border queue.

What has changed for operators:

The headline update concerns permit control: the system now automatically tracks single-use of permits and Interbus journey pages. Once a queue is completed and the border is physically crossed, the document is treated as used, and re-registering with it is no longer possible.

🇺🇦 Ukraine:
  • Bus substitution: available for charter services via the "Driver/Vehicle replacement" function — for both single-use permits and Interbus journals.
  • Automatic checks at registration: the system verifies that the permit matches the carrier's country and that the vehicle's seat count meets requirements.
  • Shuttle services: detected automatically through integration with Ukrtransbezpeka's information system; the platform counts trips (a shuttle permit allows 10 journeys).
Practical advice:

Remember that international services may be operated by buses with 9 or more seats. If data does not match, the operator is notified during registration, so verify your documents in advance. For earlier improvements, see our report on eCherha expanding its online booking.
