eCherha Merges Truck Queues at Chop and Uzhhorod Border Crossings from April 24

Starting April 24, 2026, Ukraine's eCherha electronic queue system is rolling out a major change for freight carriers at two key checkpoints: Chop (Tysa) – Záhony on the Hungarian border and Uzhhorod – Vyšné Nemecké on the Slovak border. Two separate queues — for empty and loaded trucks — are being merged into a single line for all vehicles weighing 3.5 tonnes or more.

What changes on April 24:
  • 9:00 AM — registration in the separate queue for empty trucks closes
  • All trucks over 3.5 t (loaded or empty) must register in the unified "Trucks ≥ 3.5 tonnes" queue
  • Each checkpoint — Chop and Uzhhorod — will operate just one truck queue
Why this matters for hauliers:

A single queue is intended to give a more accurate estimated wait time and better reflect actual traffic flows at the border. The eCherha team continues to refine its waiting-time algorithms based on real movement data.

🇺🇦 Practical advice:
  • Check live queue conditions in advance via the Chop (Tysa) checkpoint page
  • Re-plan slot bookings under the new merged-queue rules
  • Account for possible adjustments during the first days of the rollout
