ETIAS Travel Checklist: Everything You Need Before Traveling to Europe

Ready to apply for your ETIAS? This checklist will help you prepare all the necessary documents and information before you start your application. Make sure everything is ready before you begin.

Documents You Will Need

A Valid Biometric Passport

Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after your planned departure from Europe and must have been issued within the last 10 years. Your ETIAS will be electronically linked to this passport.

A Valid Email Address

Your ETIAS confirmation will be sent to this address, so make sure you have access to this email account.

A Credit or Debit Card

Have your card ready to pay the €7 application fee (free if you are under 18 or over 70).

Information You Will Need to Provide

Personal details: full name, date and place of birth
Passport details: passport number, date of issue, and expiry date
Contact information: current address and phone number
Your first destination: the first EU country you plan to visit
Security questions: a few questions about your health and travel history
