Poland's Border Guard has reorganised its units along the German-Polish frontier. From 1 December 2025, a new post within the Nadodrzański Border Guard Division has begun operating in the town of Słubice, located directly across the river from Frankfurt (Oder) in Germany.
What has changed:
The new post is based at ul. Piłsudskiego 18, 69-100 Słubice. At the same time, the former post in Świecko — alongside the A2 motorway leading to Berlin — has ceased operations.
🇵🇱 Poland:
- The territorial area of responsibility remains unchanged
- The unit's detailed range of duties stays the same
- The change is purely administrative
🇩🇪 Germany:
- Crossing between Słubice and Frankfurt (Oder) operates as usual
- Travellers will see no change in border procedures
For drivers and passengers, the crossing process remains exactly as before. You can review Polish checkpoints on the Poland page.
