Denmark — strategic gateway to Scandinavia and the Baltics!

Position advantages:

  • Øresund Bridge — direct bridge to Sweden (Malmö → Stockholm)
  • Copenhagen Airport — largest hub in Northern Europe
  • Ferries to Norway, Sweden, Germany, Poland
  • Simplest structure — only 1 land border

Routes from Ukraine:

  • Flight: Kyiv → Copenhagen (direct Wizz Air, SAS)
  • Car: UA → PL → DE → DK (temporary controls!)
  • Via Sweden: UA → PL → SE → DK (Øresund Bridge)

Best option: Fly to Copenhagen — avoid all land border controls!

Denmark has only 1 land border — with Germany!

This is the simplest situation among Scandinavian countries:

  • 7 main crossings in Jutland (peninsula)
  • Kruså/Flensburg — main corridor E45/A7 (10–40 min queues)
  • Harrislee/Aventoft — less busy B199/N201
  • 6 fixed checkpoints since May 2025: Frøslev, Padborg, Kruså, Vilmkær, Sofiedal, Bøgelhus

Alternatives: Ferries from Germany (Kiel, Travemünde) or via Øresund Bridge from Sweden.

Документи Час роботи

Denmark has the longest temporary border controls in Europe: 2015–2026 = 11 years!

Controls extended until May 11, 2026 due to:

  • Terrorism threats (4 incidents in 2024)
  • Espionage and sabotage related to Ukraine war
  • Organized crime and drug trafficking
  • Irregular migration

Dual system: Germany ALSO controls its side of the border until March 15, 2026! This means +10–30 minutes waiting at each border.
