Use this digest for planning only. ## Full closures ### **A4** — Jena (Thuringia): Lobdeburg tunnel fire test - **Full closure** in **both directions** (Erfurt ↔ Chemnitz) between **Jagdbergtunnel**, **Jena-Göschwitz**, **Lobdeburg** tunnel and **Rodablick**. - The closure starts on **Saturday 07.11.2026 at 20:00**. The official notice relates it to a fire test (Brandversuch) in the Lobdeburg tunnel on 07–08.11.2026. - The ramp at AS Jena-Göschwitz onto the A4 is also closed during this period. - **Planning note:** This is a main transit route between Hesse/Thuringia and Saxony, Poland and the Czech Republic. Follow the official signed diversion. Long-distance traffic from Erfurt to Chemnitz can consider the A71 – A38 – A72 corridor via Leipzig. Remember that the Sunday truck driving ban starts at 00:00 on 08.11. A delayed Saturday evening departure can leave you stuck until 22:00 on Sunday. ### **A7** — Westenholz junction (Lower Saxony) - **Full closure** of the AS **Westenholz** entry onto the A7, from **04.11.2026 at 00:00**. The reason is surface renewal on the L191. - **Planning note:** The A7 main carriageway stays open. Trucks that use this junction must use a neighbouring junction. Check the diversion signs on local roads, because some local roads may have weight limits. ### **A14** — Wismar – Schwerin (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) - **Full closure** between **Wismar** and **Jesendorf**, direction Schwerin, on **Friday 30.10.2026 from 08:00 to 16:00**. - **Full closure** between **Schwerin-Ost** and **Schwerin-Nord**, direction Wismar, on the same day from 08:00 to 16:00. - **Planning note:** This affects traffic to and from the Baltic ports of Wismar and Rostock. If possible, plan port arrivals outside the closure window. Otherwise, add extra time for the signed diversion. ## Major roadworks & lane restrictions Long-term sites usually have reduced lane widths. The left lane is often limited to vehicles up to 2.0–2.1 m wide, and overtaking for trucks is often prohibited. Follow the signs on site. Trucks must stay in the right lane through the works. ### **A4** — Cologne – Olpe (Bergisches Land) - **Bielstein – Hömeler Feld**, both directions: a long-term site, active since 19.11.2024. - **Bellingroth – Wiehltalbrücke** (direction Olpe) from 02.11.2026, and **Erlenhof – Bielstein** from 09.11.2026. - **Wiehltalbrücke:** a restriction for heavy transport (max. 44 t) at AS Bielstein from 09.11.2026. Abnormal load operators must check their permits and routes. - **Morkepütz – Hömeler Feld** (direction Cologne) since 26.10.2026. There are also short daytime closures on 27.10 (09:00–15:00) at Aggertal, Engelskirchen and Hasbacher Höhe. ### **A4** — Hermsdorfer Kreuz and Dresden - **Hermsdorfer Kreuz – Rüdersdorf** and **Tümmelsberg – Hermsdorfer Kreuz**, both directions, since 05.10.2026. This is the important A4/A9 interchange. - **Dresden-Neustadt / Dresden-Hellerau – Dresden-Wilder Mann**, both directions, since 26.05.2026. There are restrictions at the AS Dresden-Wilder Mann junction. This affects transit towards Poland and the Czech Republic. ### **A3, A6, A8** — border corridors - **A3 Emmerich-Ost – Löwenberger Landwehr** (direction Oberhausen) since 28.07.2026. This is near the Dutch border crossing. From 06.11.2026 at 18:00, the AS **Hengersberg** (Bavaria) ramp is also closed. - **A6 AS Waidhaus**: the entry towards Nürnberg has been closed since 20.10.2023. This junction is next to the Waidhaus/Rozvadov border crossing to the Czech Republic. - **A8 Einöd – Zweibrücken-Ernstweiler** (direction Karlsruhe) since 11.05.2026. There is also a night restriction at Neunkirchen on 27–28.10 (23:30–02:00). ### **A1, A2, A5, A7, A14** — other restrictions - **A1 Hamburg – Bremen:** Posthausen – Tuchten (28.10 15:00 to 29.10 09:00), Rade – Hollenstedt (03.11, 08:00–13:45), Grundbergsee – Reeßum (04.11, 11:30–14:00). - **A2 AK Recklinghausen:** ramps to the A43 towards Wuppertal remain closed (long-term since 2021). - **A5:** ramp from Bad Homburger Kreuz to the A661 closed on 27.10 (09:00–15:00). Restriction at AS Appenweier on 28–29.10 (22:00–05:00). - **A7 Schleswig-Holstein:** AS Neumünster-Mitte closed since 17.08.2026. Jalm – Tarp lane closures on 29.10 (09:00–16:00, both directions in turn). - **A14 AS Magdeburg-Sudenburg:** exit towards Halberstadt (B81) closed on 28–29.10 (21:00–05:00). ## Plan your route through Germany **Check before you go.** Open the live map before departure and again at each long stop.
