## Week 30: 6 Full Closures and Major Roadworks Across 12 German Motorways

As of 22 July 2026, there are **6 full closures (Vollsperrungen)** and a large number of long-term roadworks active on 12 German motorways. ## Full closures

### A81

- **A81** Schönbuchtunnel – Geyern, direction Stuttgart → Singen: **full closure** from 24.07.26 20:00 until 25.07.26 18:00. The AS Herrenberg ramps and B296 are also fully closed (24.07.26 21:00 – 25.07.26 24:00) for rehabilitation work. Southbound traffic toward Singen must follow the signed diversion; plan extra time and avoid the Friday evening peak.
- **A81**/A8 weekend closure of the Karlsruhe – Würzburg ramp at AD Leonberg (24.07.26 20:00 – 25.07.26 24:00) for structural rehabilitation. Interchange traffic is rerouted; check the live map for the active detour before you reach Leonberg.

### A5

- **A5** Kälberpfad – Bensheim, direction Heidelberg → Darmstadt: short **full closure** 26.07.26 00:00 – 04:00, linked to helicopter installation of aircraft-warning markers on the A659. The night window limits the impact, but no through passage is possible during those hours — time your run around it.

### A19

- **A19** AS Krakow am See: both exit ramps **fully closed** from 03.08.26 07:00 due to two full closures on the L11 (Nebelbrücke Kuchelmiß and the Langhagen railway bridge). Local access is restricted, so choose an alternative exit for deliveries in the Krakow am See area.

- Lüdenscheid – Lüdenscheid-Nord and Hunscheid – Lüdenscheid-Nord (both directions) under lane restriction since 22.12.25. This corridor remains a known bottleneck for freight — build in buffer time.

### A8

- Munich ring sections (Ottobrunn – München-Süd, München-Perlach – München-Ramersdorf, Hofoldinger Forst – München-Süd) restricted since 25.06.26; plus Einöd – Zweibrücken-Ernstweiler since 11.05.26.

### A4 / A14 / A2 / A1

- **A4**: Dresden-Neustadt/Hellerau – Wilder Mann (both directions) and the Bielstein – Hömeler Feld stretch remain under lane closures.
- **A14**: Gröbers – Schkeuditzer Kreuz (both directions) restricted since 31.10.25.
- **A2**: Resser Mark – Herten and the A43 ramp closures toward Wuppertal at AK Recklinghausen; night closure Lauenau – Bad Nenndorf (26–27.07.26).
- **A1**: Tecklenburger Land – Lengerich (long-term) and a full-day restriction Ellerbrook – Ahrensburg (23–24.07.26).
