# Airline departure punctuality — our August 2026 summary

01.09.2026 04:40 Service Nakordoni.eu

## The month at a glance

Across the 11 airports we monitor since 25.07.2026, 71% of the 34567 recorded departures by 116 airlines left on time. The most punctual carriers are Enter Air (97% on time, on average 3 min ahead of schedule) and FlyOne (87%). The lowest score belongs to the busiest carrier in the sample, LOT Polish Airlines (7458 departures): 57% on time, average delay 18 min.

Across 34567 departures recorded at 11 monitored airports since 25 July 2026, 71% left within 15 minutes of schedule and the average delay was 13.5 minutes. The spread between operators is wider than that headline suggests. Enter Air led at 97% on time with an average departure 2.5 minutes ahead of schedule across 830 flights at nine airports, followed by FlyOne at 87% and Austrian Airlines at 85%. At the other end, LOT Polish Airlines recorded 57% on time and an 18.3-minute average across 7458 departures, with Smartwings Poland at 63% and Ryanair at 66% and 19.7 minutes.

Scale appears to matter: the three largest samples here, LOT, Wizz Air and Buzz, span 10 or 11 airports and sit between 57% and 80%. For travellers crossing a land border to reach these airports, the practical gap is roughly 20 minutes of average delay and a one-in-three versus one-in-twenty chance of a late departure, depending on operator.

## Punctuality ranking

The ranking covers carriers with enough recorded departures. A departure counts as on time when its delay is 15 minutes or less.

## Where these numbers come from

These are our own measurements from the departure boards of 11 airports: Burgas Airport, Chişinău International Airport, Copernicus Wrocław Airport, Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, Katowice International Airport, Kraków John Paul II International Airport, Modlin Airport, Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport, Sofia Airport, Varna Airport, Warsaw Chopin Airport. The data covers only these airports and has been recorded since 25.07.2026 — it is not network-wide airline statistics.

## What it means for a cross-border trip

Travellers from Ukraine reach these airports by land through border checkpoints, so both the border queue and the drive belong in the check-in maths. See [live queues at every checkpoint](https://nakordoni.eu/en/stat), compare crossings with the [best crossing finder](https://nakordoni.eu/en/best_crossing), and check a specific flight on the [airports page](https://nakordoni.eu/en/flights) and the [airline pages](https://nakordoni.eu/en/flights/airlines).
