# German Autobahn: Closures & Roadworks for Truckers — Week 36

## Overview

During week 36, 11 **full closures** and numerous long‑term roadworks affect seven German motorways. For HGV/TIR drivers, these disruptions can add hours to travel time, force lane changes, or require detours around restricted sections. - Brückenneubau BW Budberger Str. u. BW Zum Waldkreuz (km 11.20 → km 0.36), 04.09.26 20:00 – 05.09.26 24:00 – **full closure**. Detour via local roads to A31.
- Deggenau bridge and BW 149 (AK Deggendorf, direction Plattling‑Nord), from 05.09.26 20:00 – **full closure**. Reroute via B11.

### **A5**

- Hemsbach – Wachenburg (Darmstadt → Heidelberg), 01.09.26 22:00 – 02.09.26 05:00 – **full closure**. Use A659 to A67 and re‑enter A5 south of the closure.
- Between AK Weinheim and AS Hirschberg (freileitung demolition), 01.09.26 22:00 – 02.09.26 05:00 – **full closure**. Detour via B38.
- Ladenburg – Hirschberg (Heidelberg → Darmstadt), 01.09.26 20:00 – 22:00 – **full closure**. Use local B3.
- Hirschberg – Ladenburg (Darmstadt → Heidelberg), same period – **full closure**. Same detour.
- Hemsbach – Weinheim (Darmstadt → Heidelberg), 01.09.26 20:00 – 22:00 – **full closure**. Use B38.

## Major roadworks & lane restrictions

### **A1**

- Partial lane closure Nonnweiler‑Bierfeld – Hermeskeil, 02.09.26 00:00‑04:00. One lane remains open; trucks must stay in the rightmost lane.
- Gehölzpflege at km 79.19‑79.89, 15.09.26 09:00‑15:00. Reduced width; overtaking prohibited for trucks.
- AS Köln‑Niehl (from Köln‑Nord) closed 06.09.26 07:00‑17:00. Use AS Köln‑Süd as alternative.
- AS Rade RiFa HH (Bremen → Hamburg) closed 15.09.26 22:00‑16.09.26 05:00 for GST expansion.
- AS Sittensen RF Bremen (Hamburg → Bremen) closed 16.09.26 09:00‑17.09.26 13:00 after accident.

### **A2**

- Oberhausen – Gladbeck‑Ellinghorst, starting 11.09.26 21:00. One lane closed, width limit 2.5 m for trucks.
- OPA installation and parking lot closure at Bottrop‑Süd, 09.09.26‑15.09.26. No truck parking; plan a stop elsewhere.
- AS Beckum (from Vellern) closed 10.08.26 09:00 for structural repair.
- Lauenau – Bad Nenndorf (Dortmund → Hannover), 01.09.26 22:00‑02.09.26 05:00. One lane closed, no overtaking for trucks.

### **A3**

- Emmerich‑Ost – Löwenberger Landwehr, started 28.07.26. Ongoing lane reduction, width limit 2.7 m.

### **A4**

- Untereschbach – Bergisch Gladbach‑Bensberg (Olpe → Köln), 01.09.26 07:30‑15:00. One lane closed; trucks must keep to the right.
- Bielstein – Hömeler Feld (both directions), from 19.11.24 09:00. Ongoing works, speed limit 80 km/h for trucks.
- Dresden‑Neustadt – Dresden‑Wilder Mann (Chemnitz ↔ Dresden), from 26.05.26 08:00. Lane restriction, no overtaking for trucks.

### **A6**

- AS Waidhaus (towards Nürnberg) closed since 20.10.23. Single lane operation, width limit 2.5 m.

### **A7**

- Hamburg‑Volkspark – Hamburg‑Schnelsen‑Nord, starting 11.09.26 22:00. One lane closed each direction; use the opposite lane for overtaking.
- DEGES projects between AS HH‑Stellingen – AS HH‑Heimfeld, from 04.09.26 22:00. Reduced lane width, no overtaking for trucks.
- AS Owschlag (Bre­kendorfer Moor) closed 23.09.26 22:00‑24.09.26 05:00 for stretch expansion.
