# Netherlands: A2, A27, A59 and A73 Works in September 2026

Major infrastructure modernization and maintenance projects will cause significant traffic disruptions across the Netherlands throughout September 2026. Drivers of lorries, passenger cars, and commercial vans are advised to expect reduced lane capacities, weekend closures, and delays of up to one hour.

##### Key Roadwork Locations and Schedules:

###### 🇳🇱 Netherlands:

- **A2 Highway (Culemborg to Geldermalsen):** Major maintenance work from September 7 to October 16 will reduce lane availability in both directions. Delays of up to 60 minutes are anticipated, particularly during morning and evening rush hours.
- **Hooipolder Interchange (A27 / A59):** Connecting ramps will be closed during two weekends in September as part of the Houten – Hooipolder corridor project.
- **A73 Highway (towards Venlo):** Closed between Boxmeer (Rijkevoort junction) and the Vierlingsbeek exit during the first weekend of September for scheduled resurfacing.
