# Queues at the Bulgarian border: Kapitan Andreevo and Kalotina

25.07.2026 06:13 Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA)

The Border Police of Bulgaria warns of increased traffic in two directions: on the border with Turkey — at [Kapitan Andreevo BCP](https://nakordoni.eu/en/id/id_384) for cars exiting, and on the border with Serbia — at Kalotina BCP for entry. Data is current as of 6:00.

According to the General Directorate "Border Police", traffic at other checkpoints with neighboring countries is normal.

##### Bulgarian-Turkish direction

The heaviest load falls on the exit from Bulgaria to Turkey. The current dynamics of queues in this direction are shown on the [Bulgaria – Turkey](https://nakordoni.eu/en/stat/12/14) page, and hourly statistics of passage through Kalotina BCP are collected in the [checkpoint statistics section](https://nakordoni.eu/en/id/id_390/statistics).

##### Svishtov – Zimnicea ferry is not working

From 10:00 on July 21, the ferry service at the Svishtov – Zimnicea crossing is temporarily suspended due to low water levels in the Danube. The platform is located on Bulgarian territory. To cross the Romanian border, one has to use [other Bulgaria – Romania checkpoints](https://nakordoni.eu/en/stat/12/5).

##### Restrictions by type of transport

- Rudozem, Zlatograd, Makaza, and Ivaylovgrad — only cars and minibuses up to 3.5 tons.
- [Kulala](https://nakordoni.eu/en/id/id_484), Ilinden, and Kapitan Petko Voyvoda — cars, buses, and trucks.
