# Near Mayaky on the Odesa — Reni route, a temporary bridge will be built over the Dniester

The Odesa — Reni route will receive another important update. The Service for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure in Odesa Oblast has ordered the construction of a temporary quickly erected bridge over the Dniester in the area of Mayaky village — a few kilometers from the [Mayaky — Udobne](https://nakordoni.eu/en/id/id_269) checkpoint on the border with [Moldova](https://nakordoni.eu/en/country/moldova).

##### Cost and Contractor:

Over 200 million UAH were allocated for the project from the state budget's reserve fund. The contract was signed with LLC "Kyiv Bridge Construction Company" without open bidding — the documents explain this by the urgent need to perform the work.

##### What the project includes:

- almost 988 tons of steel pipes for supporting structures;
- reinforced concrete span slabs;
- over 370 meters of metal barrier fencing;
- icebreakers for pier protection in winter.

The contractor must complete the construction by December 31, 2026.

This is the second large project in this direction in recent days: simultaneously on the Odesa — Reni route, a [video control system with integration into eCherha](https://nakordoni.eu/en/news/2026-06-07/na-trasi-odesa-reni-oblashtuiut-videokontrol-z-intehratsiieiu-v-iecherhu) will be installed near the Reni — Giurgiulești checkpoint.
