Drivers using the **Medyka** road crossing (paired on the Ukrainian side with **Shehyni**) should expect possible delays as the road surface is replaced. Work begins on **April 24, 2026** and is expected to last about **10 weeks**.

##### Who is affected:

The resurfacing covers traffic in both directions, so allow extra time when planning your crossing.

- Trucks leaving Poland
- Trucks entering Poland
- Cars leaving Poland
- Cars entering Poland

###### 🇵🇱 Poland:

- Start of works: 24.04.2026
- Estimated duration: about 10 weeks
- Temporary lane narrowing is possible

##### Practical advice:

While works continue, consider nearby crossings to avoid the busiest periods. Always check current wait times before you set off — for example on the [Shehyni checkpoint page](https://nakordoni.eu/en/id/id_16).

Keep an eye on other changes at this crossing too, such as the [bus clearance updates in Medyka](https://nakordoni.eu/en/news/2026-06-15/medyka-crossing-bus-clearance-changes-from-june-15).
